Marvel Rivals debuted on December 6 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. To mark its debut, it’s currently in its initial season, Season 0, which is a brief season lasting approximately one month. This season’s battle pass is shorter as well, featuring 29 rewards. The premium battle pass costs 490 lattice, an in-game currency equivalent to about $5. Regular battle passes will cost $10 starting from future seasons, but luckily, the premium ones do not expire.

Initially, Marvel Rivals boasts a staggering number of 33 playable characters in its lineup, which dwarfs the numbers found in similar games. Moreover, NetEase has made it clear that their monetization approach for Marvel Rivals focuses exclusively on cosmetic items like character skins and emotes.
