As a longtime Marvel fan and avid gamer, I can hardly contain my excitement for this year’s San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC)! The annual celebration of all things pop culture is finally upon us, and Marvel Entertainment is once again rolling out the red carpet. With its gaming publishing arm, Marvel Games, set to showcase a range of forthcoming releases, I can hardly wait to see what’s in store for us gamers.
The highly anticipated San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) has begun, bringing its unique blend of genres to the San Diego Convention Center for another year. Visitors can look forward to an abundance of exhibits, booths, talks, and panel discussions. Marvel Entertainment is once again pulling out all the stops, unveiling a packed schedule of activities and events during their special weekend at SDCC.
As a dedicated gamer, I’m excited to share that Marvel is bringing back their Games Showcase! During this presentation, we’ll get a sneak peek into every upcoming gaming release published by Marvel Games. Although the specific titles haven’t been revealed yet, one thing is certain – players will be able to jump right in and join the action during San Diego Comic-Con. In fact, I’ll be there, joining the fray in-game! Can’t wait to see what Marvel has in store for us this year!

Based on the latest announcement on Marvel.com, it’s scheduled for the 25th of July, 2024, between 4:30 pm and 5 pm PST or 7:30 pm and 8 pm ET, or 11:30 pm and 12 am GMT. Keep in mind that these dates and times could still be subject to change, but one thing is certain – NetEase Games’ Marvel Rivals, the superhero team-based PvP shooter, will definitely be part of this year’s event! On the Marvel Rivals website, the game creator gave more information about what fans can expect from the Marvel Games Showcase. They mentioned a fresh Marvel Rivals trailer, new game announcements, and exclusive gifts as part of the lineup. It’s unclear if the new games refer to the team-versus-team PvP shooter or other titles being released under Marvel Games.
Several anticipated games are under production at various studios as of now. These include “Blade” by Arkane, “Wolverine” by Insomniac, “Marvel’s Iron Man” by Motive, and “Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra” by Skydance. The development team will hold a live stream later in the day on their Discord server to share details about all Marvel Rivals-related announcements, updates, and other news from Comic-Con San Diego.
