Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra Black Panther Voice Actor Hints At Game’s Christmas Release Window

Since the October 2021 announcement, there hasn’t been much information or gameplay details revealed about the upcoming action-adventure game Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. The game is being developed by Skydance New Media in partnership with Plaion and Marvel Games, and it’s scheduled for release in 2025. However, it’s been a few months since the Story Trailer was unveiled.

Lately, there seems to be a shift in anticipation surrounding Azzuri/Black Panther’s game, following a possible leak by Khary Payton, its voice actor, who might have accidentally disclosed some release date details in a recent interview. During this chat, he also expressed his experiences collaborating with the game director Amy Hennig on the project.

Khary Payton, voice actor for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, recently spoke with The Direct about his role in the upcoming game. When asked about its progress, he shared that they are still actively working on it and aiming for a 2025 release, possibly around Christmas time. He expressed his enthusiasm for the project.

It’s not yet certain if Skydance planned to disclose this information, but they seem to be planning a Holiday 2025 launch for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. Although it’s reasonable to expect December 2025 as the optimal release month for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, there’s a chance that the game might be released earlier in late November 2025 if there’s sufficient demand to hasten its launch.

If someone had told me, growing up as a black child in America, that I would one day play Black Panther in the Marvel universe, I would have thought it was a dream come true.

Payton went on to say, “Then you see it up there on the large screen, and Chadwick Boseman breathes life into the character, leaving you in awe. It’s more amazing than I ever imagined. To be portraying him in the game, playing his grandfather, embodying a version of Black Panther, and seeing myself in that role… It feels incredibly realistic. We aim for players to enjoy this game, gather the family around the TV, just as they would for ‘Game of Thrones’ or ‘The Walking Dead.’ Our goal is to provide an extraordinary cinematic experience for everyone.
