Martin Scorsese paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Pope Francis after hearing about his passing at the age of 88.
Pope Francis’ impact is vast and profound, shaping the world, the church, and the papacy in significant ways. However, I’ll let others elaborate on that. To me, Pope Francis was truly exceptional – a humble man who openly acknowledged his flaws, exuding wisdom and goodness at every turn. He was deeply committed to righteousness, recognizing the destructive power of ignorance in humanity. Therefore, he made learning and enlightenment a lifelong pursuit. He also embodied, preached, and practiced forgiveness, offering it universally and consistently.
His passing has hit me hard – I was fortunate to have known him, and I’ll deeply miss his company and warmth. The world’s loss is enormous, but the light he left behind will never fade away.
