In the sixth episode of Severance Season 2, entitled ‘Attila’, there might be a surprising interaction between Mark’s outer consciousness (Outie) and Helena, as viewers have noticed similarities between certain scenes that could hint at a deep connection.
At the outset of Severance’s second season, Mr. Milchick informed Mark’s “Innie” that Ms. Cobel was infatuated with an “erotic nature” towards him. In fact, this wasn’t accurate, but it could be applicable to Helena.
Episode 4 unveiled that Helena had been disguising herself as her alter ego, Helly R. Not only did she possess insider knowledge about all of the MDR team’s activities on the partitioned floor, especially regarding Ms. Casey, but she seamlessly took over from Helly and even developed a romantic relationship with Mark during the ORTBO period.
In the latest installment, I found myself grappling with the aftermath as Mark’s Innie was left shaken following Irving’s revelation about Helena. Trust in Helly seems harder to come by now more than ever. But it looks like things might be spiraling out of control even further.
Why Severance fans think Mark meets Helena in Season 2 Episode 6
Apple TV has unveiled a brief, 11-second sneak peek for Severance Season 2 Episode 6 on their platform. The teaser doesn’t reveal much but shows the character Mark appearing somewhat nervous while enjoying a Chinese meal. There are strong indications that Mark might cross paths with Helena in this particular scene.

Previously shown in the trailer, there’s a quick, almost imperceptible scene where Helena can be spotted following Mark as he departs from his table. Later on, there’s a shot of him standing before a Chinese restaurant with the words “Good Fortune” (FU) illuminated.
To date, Helena and Mark have only had one encounter, which took place in Season 1. In this instance, he almost struck her as he exited the Lumon parking lot. She advised him to be more careful, and he apologized. As things stand now, this past event could provide insight into whether Helena is an ally or adversary. Given that she expressed dislike for who she is on the outside to Mark’s Innie, there might be a glimmer of hope for her redemption.
From my gaming perspective, folks speculate his intense hunger might be due to some sort of post-reintegration jitters. But if Helena ever appears on the scene, boy oh boy, I’d bet my last in-game currency that he’d get a serious case of the jitters, explaining his shakiness.
