Popular YouTuber Markiplier showed off the official popcorn bucket designed for his first movie, Iron Lung. However, getting the bucket for free requires completing a few challenges.
Markiplier’s horror film, Iron Lung, based on the popular indie game, will be released in theaters on January 30th. The film was entirely funded by Markiplier himself and took three years to create.
The film’s release was delayed for several months while the director, who originally gained fame on YouTube, worked to get it shown in cinemas. Initially, he booked screenings at a handful of small, independent theaters in late 2025. But the film quickly gained popularity, leading to a much wider release in major movie theaters across the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, and other countries.
Similar to many hit movies, Iron Lung is releasing a special collector’s popcorn bucket for fans. However, this bucket has a unique feature that sets it apart from typical movie merchandise.
Iron Lung popcorn bucket released in collaboration with Regal
On January 21st, 2026, Markiplier streamed a variety of horror games and interacted with viewers on YouTube.
During the live stream, he revealed the design for an Iron Lung popcorn bucket. It’s shaped like the open mouth of a huge, monstrous sea creature, with popcorn appearing as a spray of blood.

Mark announced he’s releasing the file for free on January 22nd. If fans 3D print it and show it at any US Regal theater playing Iron Lung, they’ll receive a complimentary small popcorn.
You can download the file directly from the Regal Prop Shop page on Maker World. We’ve included a link for easy access.
Markiplier also mentioned that fully colored popcorn buckets will be sold at Regal theaters. And for those who want to design their own, they can get a blank bucket and free popcorn!

Markiplier says Regal will be hosting giveaways and early access pre-sales so fans can get the special, painted buckets before anyone else.
Iron Lung will be released in theaters on January 30th. However, some UK fans can see it a day early on January 29th, and select locations, like the TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles, are even offering screenings as early as January 27th.
Tickets for Iron Lung are disappearing fast—they’re selling out in just minutes! If you want to see the movie, you need to buy your tickets now before they’re gone.
