Peacock recently revealed a fresh glimpse of “Law & Order: Organized Crime” during its fifth season, as it welcomes back Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni for a reunion.

Migrating from NBC to Peacock, the upcoming season unfolds in New York City, focusing on the detectives of the Organized Crime Control Bureau who face peril as criminal syndicates endanger lives. The official summary hints that this season will delve back into “the treacherous landscapes of international smuggling, sophisticated domestic terrorism, and a family determined to retaliate against Stabler for his actions in Rome. As these spheres intertwine, Stabler risks everything to safeguard the defenseless and champion justice.

Mariska Hargitay has portrayed Captain Olivia Benson in approximately 500 episodes of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” so far. She worked alongside Meloni, who plays Det. Elliot Stabler in “Law & Order: Organized Crime.” The show’s cast also includes Danielle Moné Truitt (known for “The Princess and the Frog”), Ainsley Seiger (familiar from “Law & Order”), Rick Gonzalez (“Old School”) and Dean Norris (“Breaking Bad”).

The series ‘Organized Crime’ is developed for Peacock by Universal Television, a branch of Universal Studio Group, in collaboration with Wolf Entertainment. The executive producers include Dick Wolf, Matt Olmstead, John Shiban, Mike Slovis, Christopher Meloni, Peter Jankowski, and Tim Walsh.
