Marc Maron Sets HBO Comedy Special for 2025

Marc Maron has a new stand-up comedy special coming to HBO later this year.

The performance, comprising content from the “All In” tour, that EbMaster will experience, is scheduled to be recorded in New York City during the month of May.

The upcoming comedy hour marks Maron’s sixth stand-up performance and follows a two-year gap since his previous HBO special, “From Bleak to Dark.” In this special, Maron shares his experiences following the death of his partner, Lynn Shelton, who unfortunately passed away from cancer during the pandemic.

Marc Maron is widely recognized for his podcast “WTF with Marc Maron,” which debuted in 2009 and has since become a nationally renowned podcast, boasting over 1,600 episodes. On this show, he’s spoken to an impressive array of guests, ranging from former President Barack Obama and legendary rocker Keith Richards to the iconic Carol Burnett. (His conversation with Robin Williams was the first one-on-one podcast episode to be inducted into the United States’ National Recording Registry.)

Maron is recognized for his performances in Netflix’s female wrestling comedy-drama “Glow” and his self-titled show “Maron,” which ran for four seasons on IFC. Lately, he has been seen in films like “To Leslie” and “The Order.” Upcoming projects include Apple TV+’s golf comedy “The Stick,” where he stars alongside Owen Wilson, as well as voice acting as Mr. Snake in the animated film “Bad Guys 2” and portraying music producer Chuck Plotkin in the upcoming Bruce Springsteen biopic, “Deliver Me From Nowhere,” with Jeremy Allen White playing the lead role of The Boss.

Maron’s past comedy specials encompass “End Times Fun” from 2020, “Too Real” from 2017, “More Later” from 2015, and “Thinky Pain” from 2013.

Maron is represented by Independent Artists Group, Avalon, 42West and Brecheen Feldman Breimer.
