A newly discovered flaw in the game Marathon is allowing players to gain an unlimited amount of Silk, the in-game currency used to purchase items within the Rewards Pass.
Marathon’s official launch was on March 5, 2026, one week after the Server Slam. Players can now fully explore the game, learning the skills of many different Runners, finding powerful weapons, and mastering diverse maps.
Beyond the core game, you can also customize your experience with a variety of cosmetic items. We’ve launched a Rewards Pass – starting with Season 1 – where you can unlock pages of weapon skins, player emblems, and other cool items using Silk.
Silk is normally earned by playing and gaining levels during the current season. However, a glitch on the first day allows players to get unlimited Silk and instantly unlock all items in the Rewards Pass.
Marathon Silk glitch hands out free currency
This trick appears to work by using some of your Silk, but leaving at least 20 remaining. If you then close and restart the game, and load your progress, your Silk will be fully restored to the maximum amount of 140.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind. First, this exploit seems to only work on computers—it didn’t work when we tested it on consoles. Second, you need to own the Deluxe Edition of the game for it to function.

The game is mistakenly giving players the Silk bonus from the Deluxe Edition again each time they log in. This is an unintended bug, and Bungie is likely working on a fix.
As of now, developers haven’t officially commented on the issue, and it’s still happening on PC.
Just so you know, this glitch doesn’t give any advantage in gameplay. The Rewards Pass mostly includes cosmetic items and a few Schemas, which let you buy certain items again if you want. You can find a complete list of everything in the Season 1 pass here.
