Mana Series Orchestra Concert will be held in Tokyo and Osaka this June and July

This year, Square Enix has announced that they will host two performances of the “Seiken Densetsu Series Orchestra Concert” in Japan – one at Tokyo International Forum Hall C on June 28th, and another at Grand Cube Osaka Main Hall on July 6th. These concerts will showcase orchestral arrangements of music from various games within the RPG series that’s more commonly recognized as “Mana” in the Western world. Titles like “Legend of Mana” and “Trials of Mana” will be included in these performances.

The performers at each concert location will vary. For instance, the Tokyo concert will showcase the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Masafumi Kurita, whereas the Osaka event will host the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Shimpei Sasaki.

At both locations, there will be a discussion panel where Masaru Oyamada from Square Enix, along with composers Kenji Ito, Hiroki Kikuta, and Yoko Shimomura, will participate. In addition to these guests, several Japanese voice actors will join the conversation: Takuya Eguchi (known for his role as Duran in Trials of Mana), Nobunaga Shimazaki (who voiced Shiloh in Legend of Mana), and Saori Hayami (famous for her portrayal of Serafina in Legend of Mana. However, please note that Saori Hayami will only participate in the Tokyo concert event.)

Concert tickets, priced between 8,000 yen and 13,200 yen, can be obtained through a lottery system on the Lawson Ticket app. This method gives more people an opportunity to secure tickets rather than it being first-come, first-served. At this time, it’s unclear if Square Enix intends to create a global streaming or physical ticketing platform for those living outside of Japan.
