In a shocking incident, a man in India arrived at a hospital with a machete stuck in his head. The injury was so severe it resembled something from a violent video game like Mortal Kombat.

Even after suffering a serious injury, the man was said to be awake and able to walk around the hospital. He was brought there by a friend on a motorcycle.

A shocking video from inside the hospital showed the victim calmly walking around while on his phone, despite still having a weapon lodged in his head. People nearby were visibly reacting to the bizarre and disturbing sight.

Doctors later found that the blade had pierced his skull and entered about 3cm into his head.

Despite the injury, the weapon miraculously missed the parts of his brain that control speech and movement, so he was still able to talk and move normally.

A doctor who treated the case reportedly described the man’s survival as “miraculous.”

After surgery to remove the blade, the victim is recovering and no longer in immediate danger. However, doctors described the CT scan as strikingly severe, comparing it to a dramatic finishing move from the video game Mortal Kombat.

Police have since arrested three suspects over the attack.

The family of the person who was hurt also said the hospital made them wait to give him treatment, even though his injury was serious.
