Man Arrested After Being Found With A Stolen Pokemon Card Haul Worth Over $300,000

Over the last few years, I’ve noticed an incredible surge in the popularity of Pokemon cards, similar to other collectible items. This trend has unfortunately led to an increase in scalping and theft as well. Just like a recent headline from the UK, a man was apprehended with a stash of stolen cards valued at around £250,000 (approximately $332,500).

The stashed loot was uncovered following a raid by the Greater Manchester Police at a residence in Hyde, Tameside, a town on the outskirts of Greater Manchester. The booster packs were found untouched inside their original packaging, and certain graded cards within them were valued up to around £560 (approximately $744).

One male suspect has been apprehended. The motto remains: “Gotta catch ’em all.

As an enthusiast, I can’t help but share this thrilling piece of news: This latest seizure could potentially be one of the largest heists ever, even eclipsing the incident from last October. Two individuals were apprehended on suspicion of pilfering Magic the Gathering and Pokemon cards valued at an astounding $150,000 from a gaming store. Fortunately, part of the loot was later recovered.
