Maliki: Poison of the Past now available for Nintendo Switch and Steam

Developer duo, Ankama and Blue Banshee, have launched the game titled “Maliki: Toxin of Yesteryears“, which is now accessible on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.

The video game’s name, reminiscent of Japanese Role-Playing Games, draws inspiration from a French comic book. Its core features revolve around strategic, turn-based battles and extensive exploration.

Ankama and Blue Banshee are excited to share that the role-playing game (RPG), Maliki: Poison of the Past, inspired by the cherished Maliki comic books, is now accessible globally on Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam, Ankama Launcher.

A Standalone Adventure Inspired by 20 Years of Comics

From its initial release as a webcomic in 2004, Maliki has won over readers with its unique blend of humor, poignant moments, and striking artwork – selling over 300,000 copies across eight volumes globally. Now, both long-time fans and new admirers can embark on a fresh, interactive experience, brought to life by Blue Banshee, a studio co-founded by Maliki’s creator, Souillon.

According to Souillon, our aim was to develop an entry point into the Maliki universe that everyone could appreciate, regardless of prior familiarity. It’s a new start, brimming with emotional resonance, endearing quirkiness, and humorously dynamic expressions, now realized in three dimensions.

Boasting a unique chibi style, Maliki: Poison of the Past preserves the series’ special atmosphere, providing a lighthearted and user-friendly role-playing game (RPG) adventure.
