Malcolm in the Middle

Recently, we’ve got a sneak peek at the comeback of “Malcolm in the Middle” on Disney+, thanks to actor Frankie Muniz. Interestingly, it seems like no time has passed since the show ended almost 20 years ago, as everyone appears unchanged. Muniz played the lead role in the FOX sitcom that premiered in 2000, portraying Malcolm, a character known for his prodigious intelligence and photographic memory, but with an inflated ego to match. In the show, he was surrounded by his parents, Lois and Hal, played by Jane Kaczmarek and Bryan Cranston, who will also reprise their roles in this revival.

Yesterday evening, Muniz posted a picture on social media showing him along with his TV parents during the start of the Malcolm in the Middle remake (see below). In the photo, Malcolm is positioned centrally, wearing a shirt and tie and surrounded by his mother and father. All three actors are grinning ear to ear, and it’s hard not to join them! This reunion holds special significance for everyone involved as the series played a major role in propelling each of them into stardom when it turned into one of the most impactful sitcoms ever produced.

As a die-hard fan excitedly awaiting the return of “Malcolm in the Middle”, I can’t help but share the news that original cast members Christopher Kennedy Masterson (Francis) and Justin Berfield (Reese) are coming back to their roles! Unfortunately, Dewey, played by Erik Per Sullivan in the original series, won’t be joining us this time around. Instead, Caleb Ellsworth-Clark has stepped into those shoes, as Erik has retired from acting and opted not to return.

New faces joining our beloved family include Anthony Timpano as Jamie, Vaughan Murrae as Kelly, a fresh sibling for Malcolm, Kiana Madeira as Malcolm’s girlfriend, Tristan, and Keeley Karsten as Malcolm’s daughter, Leah. The anticipation is building!

More to come…
