Today, Idea Factory International has unveiled that the game titled “Mado Monogatari: Fia and the Enchanted School” is set to launch both physically and digitally on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe later this year. This game was initially released in Japan last year, and during Tokyo Game Show 2024, we had an opportunity to play a pre-release version of the Japanese release. To celebrate this news, Idea Factory International has created an announcement trailer. However, as of today’s announcement, the game’s Nintendo eShop and PlayStation Network store pages haven’t gone live yet, and only existing Japanese screenshots of the Nintendo Switch version were available for unveiling.
The standard version of the game can be bought at specialty stores, but a Limited Edition is only available on Idea Factory International’s online store. As for now, we don’t know what extras come with the Limited Edition. Additionally, while there won’t be an English dub, the game will have both English and French subtitles.
The tale of Mado Academy, titled “Fia and the Enchanted School,” is set to debut in North America and Europe towards the end of this year. Fia, a young woman, embarks on a challenging trip from her native town, determined to join the academy. Through sheer fortune, she successfully secures her place there.
Currently, she’s giving it her all to navigate the assortment of academic hurdles, stern instructors, and enigmatic occurrences, all with the ambition of one day earning the title of a formidable Mage. Simultaneously, she’s fostering friendships among her fellow classmates.
Join Fia and her companions as they journey through the enigmatic halls of the Old Magical University, where they will delve into its age-old secrets and unearth tales about The Powerful Sorcerer.

Make sure to have your spellbook (Grimoire) at hand! This magical tome records all of Fia’s learned Magic Artes. By completing assignments and aiding in quests, you can accumulate Learning Points that enable you to unlock additional nodes within the Grimoire, granting Fia access to new magic abilities.
Take a momentary pause from delving into dungeons, and instead traverse the school environment that Fia calls home! Here she can inspect the Notice Board to uncover hidden mini-games, converse with peers, cultivate crops for later use in preparing curry for enhanced dungeon performance, and much more! Discover what exciting events lie ahead on Fia’s journey!
On the School Grounds, gather dungeon-found items to assemble fresh gear for Fia. Enhanced items can be accessed through the Grimoire at a later stage by refining your synthesis skills.
