Madden 26 Week 5 Ratings Update – Lamar Jackson No Longer 99

The latest Madden 26 Player Ratings are out just before Week 5 of the NFL season. Several players, including Maxx Crosby and Puka Nacua, had their overall ratings (OVR) go up. But some big names, like Lamar Jackson, saw their OVR decrease. So, we’ve reviewed the updated ratings to highlight the most significant changes this week.

Madden 26 Player Ratings For Week 5 – Lamar Jackson Kicked out of 99 Club

These guys balled out in Week 4.

Who still needs a ratings boost? #Madden26

Lamar Jackson, QB (Baltimore Ravens) – 98 OVR (-1)

Lamar Jackson is no longer part of the Madden 26 99 Club. It’s a little surprising to see a player removed after just one poor performance, especially since Jackson has generally played well (based on his stats) so far this season. The Baltimore offense has also been very productive, averaging over 32 points per game in the last four weeks – that’s the 3rd highest total in the league. Interestingly, Saquon Barkley, who is on the cover of Madden 26, is only averaging 3.1 yards per carry this season, but he remains in the 99 Club. It seems inconsistent.

Certainly, Jackson has a path back to the 99 Club, provided he performs well after recovering from his injury. However, for the time being, Ravens fans will have to support Cooper Rush and hope he leads them to their second win of the season.

Maxx Crosby, LEDG (Las Vegas Raiders) – 97 OVR (+1)

Man, I was seriously impressed with Crosby in our game against the Chicago Bears, even though we lost 25-24. He was all over the place, with three pass deflections, a forced fumble, and even picked off a pass and ran it back 19 yards! It’s tough though, because our offense is struggling – we’re tied for the league lead in turnovers, which doesn’t help anyone on the defense. But honestly, Crosby always shows up and makes plays, no matter what. He’s a real impact player, even when things aren’t going our way. You can check out game highlights if you missed it!

Puka Nacua, WR (Los Angeles Rams) – 94 OVR (+4)

This season, Nacua is averaging more than 117 yards receiving each game. Even though he’s played one extra game compared to many others, he currently has 25 more receptions than the next closest wide receiver, Amon-Ra St. Brown (27).

In the Rams’ overtime loss to San Francisco, he had a strong performance with 10 receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown. However, it’s difficult to fault Nacua, since he didn’t cause either of the team’s lost fumbles. If he stays healthy, his current pace of 10 catches per game would surpass the NFL record for most receptions in a single season, which stands at 149.

Matthew Stafford, QB (Los Angeles Rams) – 92 OVR (+3)

Naturally, Puka Nacua’s success also benefits QB Matthew Stafford. The experienced quarterback threw the ball 47 times during the team’s game against SF, accumulating 389 yards and three touchdowns. Despite a bad snap resulting in a fumble, Stafford played effectively. Following last night’s game, Stafford currently leads the league in passing yards with 1,503, and it will be difficult for other quarterbacks to surpass that total. More details here.

Dak Prescott, QB (Dallas Cowboys) – 88 OVR (+2)

It’s tough to lead your team to 40 points and still end up in a tie. However, despite the result, Prescott had an excellent game as Micah Parsons returned to AT&T Stadium. The experienced quarterback completed 31 of his 40 pass attempts for 319 yards and threw three touchdowns. He achieved these stats even without his top receiver, CeeDee Lamb, with George Pickens stepping up and performing well as the WR1.

At the start of the week, Prescott was the league leader in passing yards, having thrown for 1,119 yards in only four games. (Please note – Matthew Stafford now has the most passing yards in the league following last night’s game against San Francisco).

Jaxson Dart, QB (New York Giants) – 71 OVR (+2)

The Overall Rating (OVR) might be lower than some others here. But kudos to Dart for playing a key role in the G-Men’s victory against a tough Chargers defense. It was unfortunate to see Malik Nabers get injured during Dart’s first game, but the rookie quarterback still did enough to lead the Giants to an upset win over the Chargers.

Dart completed 111 passing yards with 20 attempts, and also contributed with two touchdowns – one through a pass and another by running with the ball. He also gained 54 yards rushing. Considering everything, it was a very good first game for him.

I’m really excited to see rookies like Dart and HB Cam Skattebo making such an impact! It feels like the Giants might have something special brewing, and when Nabers returns, they could be a real threat. It’s just cool to watch these young guys shine.

Additionally, several other players received an increase to their Madden 26 Player Rating:

  • Khalil Mack – 86 OVR (-1)
  • Brandon Aiyuk – 86 OVR (-1)
  • Jamel Dean – 86 OVR (-1)
  • Chris Olave – 85 OVR (-1)

Week 5 kicked off last night with a 26-23 overtime victory for the San Francisco 49ers against the Los Angeles Rams. Even with several players injured, San Francisco managed to secure their fourth win of the season. The Rams, however, fell to 3-2 due to expensive errors, including two crucial fumbles.
