Madden 25 Player Ratings For Week 5 – Jayden Daniels Rises Up

As a die-hard football fan with decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that Jayden Daniels is shaping up to be quite the sensation this season! His stellar performance against Arizona has certainly piqued my interest, and I’m eagerly waiting to see how he fares against Cleveland’s tough defense.

The updated player rankings for Madden 25 have been released, perfect timing for week 5. Players such as Jayden Daniels experienced a significant increase in their Madden scores, while Fred Warner of the 49ers is moving nearer to the elite 99 club. However, some players have seen their ratings drop due to subpar play. Let’s dive into the fresh Madden 25 player rankings as we approach week 5 of the NFL season without any further delay.

  • Fred Warner (San Francisco 49ers) – 98 OVR (+1)

It appears that Fred Warner might justifiably earn a 99 OVR rating compared to many players in the 99 Club, given his exceptional performance. Compared to Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, and Christian McCaffrey, whose seasons have not been exceptionally outstanding, particularly this year. For instance, McCaffrey hasn’t taken the field yet, while it remains uncertain when he might return. Hill and Kelce have managed a combined total of 375 yards with just one touchdown from their 32 receptions. While the Chiefs are undefeated at 4-0, I question the extent to which Mahomes should receive credit for this success, considering he’s already given away the ball five times in this season alone.

As a gamer on the San Francisco 49ers’ defense, I’ve been racking up some impressive numbers so far this year – two interceptions, three forced fumbles, and even a sack. In our recent 30-13 win against the New England Patriots, I snatched an interception and took it all the way for a 45-yard touchdown return. With my quick recovery, the Niners are counting on me to keep leading this defense like a seasoned pro.

  • Derrick Henry (Baltimore Ravens) – 96 OVR (+1)

Inching towards the #99Club #Madden25 | @Ravens

As a gamer taking on the role of King Henry this season, I’ve been tearing it up on the field! With over 520 total yards and six touchdowns in just four games, I’m proving to be a force to reckon with. The unstoppable combination of Baltimore’s offensive line and my own speed and power has made our rushing attack one of the most fearsome in the league. Over the last two matches alone, I’ve racked up an impressive 350 rushing yards, putting me at the top with a whopping 480 total yards. After starting off rough with back-to-back losses, the Ravens have fought back and claimed victories in our last two games. It’s players like me that make this team truly unstoppable.

Similar to Warner’s curiosity, we too are puzzled as to why a player like Henry hasn’t made it into the 99 Club yet. However, if his performance remains strong, he’ll surely earn a spot in the club before the season concludes.

  • Patrick Surtain II (Denver Broncos – 96 OVR (+1)

Over these past three thrilling weeks, I’ve been utterly amazed by Denver’s defense. They’ve truly outshone themselves, confining opponents to a mere 13 points or less! A significant part of their triumph is undeniably attributed to shutdown CB Patrick Surtain II. Two weeks back, the formidable Buccaneers’ offense faced a brick wall in the form of Surtain. Last week, even future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers grappled with him! Regardless of the challenge, Surtain consistently delivers, leaving no doubt as to why he’s the highest-paid DB in the league.

If you like to play Madden 25’s Franchise mode, do yourself a favor and trade for Surtain. It’s worth giving up a first rounder (and maybe more) for this shutdown corner.

  • Nico Collins (Houston Texans) – 86 OVR (+2)

In the virtual gridiron world of Madden 25, I’m Collins, leading the pack with an impressive 103-yard advantage in receiving yards. Yet, I’ve only been given an 86 OVR after the latest update. The numbers don’t lie – I’ve racked up triple digits in three out of four games this season. But what truly sets me apart is my exceptional connection with C.J. Stroud. Together, we’ve played a pivotal role in shaping him into the star quarterback he is today. Just last week, I reeled in 12 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown, helping us secure a win over the Jaguars. EA Sports, it’s time to take notice. If I keep delivering performances like these, it’s high time they consider bumping up my rating.

  • Jayden Daniels (Washington Commanders) – 79 OVR (+3) – Madden 25 Player Ratings

Up +6 OVR already on the season for the potential OROY #Madden24 | @Commanders

— Madden NFL 25 (@EAMaddenNFL) October 3, 2024

In his first career game, Daniel demonstrated exceptional play overall, with the team triumphing over Arizona by a score of 42-14. So far this season, he has successfully completed over 80% of his passes, and remarkably, the Commanders have not punted the ball in two consecutive games. When evaluated against the other quarterbacks expected to be drafted in 2024, Daniel stands out. The upcoming Week 5 game presents an intriguing challenge, as he will square off against a formidable Cleveland defense.

Jayden Daniels’ high rookie rating makes him fun to play with in Madden 25’s Franchise mode.

Moreover, numerous other players were given a boost to their Madden Player Ratings prior to Week 5.

  • Aidan Hutchinson – 93 OVR (+1)
  • Terry McLaurin – 91 OVR (+2)
  • Aaron Jones – 90 OVR (+1)
  • Kyle Hamilton – 89 OVR (+1)
  • Jabrill Peppers – 87 OVR (+1)
  • D.J. Reed – 87 OVR (+1)
  • Quincy Williams – 86 OVR (+1)
  • Nick Bolton – 85 OVR (+1)
  • Jared Goff – 82 OVR (+3)
  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba (+1)
  • Jayden Daniels – 79 OVR (+3)

However, many players received a decrease to their Madden 25 player rating ahead of Week 5:

  • Dexter Lawrence – 95 OVR (-1)
  • Mark Andrews – 92 OVR (-1)
  • Terron Armstead – 91 OVR (-1)
  • Brandon Aiyuk – 90 OVR (-1)
  • Travis Etienne Jr. – 89 OVR (-1)
  • Xavier McKinney – 88 OVR (+2)
  • Jevon Holland – 86 OVR (-1)
  • Matthew Judon – 86 OVR (-2)
  • Cameron Jordan – 85 OVR (-2)
  • Garrett Wilson – 85 OVR (-1)
  • Brian Burns – 85 OVR (-1)
  • Chase Young – 84 OVR (-1)
  • Jalen Hurts – 84 OVR (-1)

In summary, these encompass the major adjustments made in the Madden 25 Player Rankings for Week 5. If you’d like, explore the entire set of ratings to observe all team changes thoroughly. Remember, the season is still in its early stages, and EA Sports frequently updates player statistics following each week. Therefore, don’t forget to revisit this information to track the most significant improvements.

As for Week 5, it began last night with an unexpected victory by Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Overtime. With only 1 minute 57 seconds left and trailing 30-27, it appeared as though the Falcons were going to fall short. However, a crucial penalty and some unfavorable plays forced Tampa Bay to punt. Young-ho Koo redeemed himself after missing two field goals earlier by making the one that sent them into Overtime. In just a few plays during Overtime, Cousins connected with KhaDarel Hodge for a 45-yard touchdown pass.

I’m excited about the upcoming changes in player ratings! Meanwhile, don’t forget to explore our collection of Madden 25 guides covering areas like passing, catching, kicking, and much more.
