Macaulay Culkin to Appear in ‘Fallout’ Season 2 on Amazon’s Prime Video

As a seasoned movie enthusiast who’s seen more than a few apocalyptic series and movies, I must say I’m quite intrigued by the news that Macaulay Culkin has joined the cast of “Fallout” for its second season. The man who once outsmarted burglars with household items is now stepping into a post-apocalyptic world filled with radiation and violence!

In the second season of Prime Video’s Emmy-nominated drama, “Fallout,” Macaulay Culkin, famed for his role in “Home Alone,” is set to reappear. This recurring role has been confirmed by EbMaster. As of now, details regarding Culkin’s character on the series are scarce, but Deadline reports that he will portray a character with a “crazy genius” personality.

200 years after the apocalypse, the series is set within a world that bears resemblance to the popular video game franchise. The narrative unfolds as inhabitants of opulent fallout shelters are compelled to venture back into the desolate, irradiated wasteland their ancestors abandoned. To their surprise, they encounter a universe that’s intricate, eccentric, brutally violent yet oddly joyful, awaiting their discovery.

Recently, Culkin has lent his voice to “The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy,” and also appeared in several episodes of “The Righteous Gemstones.” Additionally, he’s been part of the ensemble cast for “American Horror Story: Double Feature.

In the movie “Fallout”, Ella Purnell is joined by an ensemble cast that includes Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Walton Goggins, Moisés Arias, Sarita Choudhury, Michael Emerson, Leslie Uggams, Frances Turner, Dave Register, Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, Rodrigo Luzzi, Annabel O’Hagan, and Xelia Mendes-Jones.

Earlier in the year, “Fallout” received a total of 17 Emmy nominations across categories such as outstanding drama series, outstanding writing, and outstanding lead actor (for its main star, Goggins). However, it only managed to win one award, specifically for exceptional music supervision.

Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Graham Wagner serve as creators, executive producers, and showrunners of the project. Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are executive producers through Kilter Films, which has an overall deal at Amazon. Athena Wickham from Kilter Films, along with Todd Howard of Bethesda Game Studios and James Altman from Bethesda Softworks, also serve as executive producers. The production is carried out jointly by Amazon MGM Studios and Kilter Films in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks.

Based on information from Amazon, the series attracted approximately 65 million viewers during its initial 16-day period, debuting all episodes on April 10th. Produced by Kilter Films, the series gained significant popularity and was swiftly renewed for a second season.
