This compilation appears to be an outstanding opportunity to delve into two of the most significant role-playing games from the 16-bit and 32-bit gaming periods. The original Lunar: Silver Star Story is renowned as a milestone in Japanese RPG history, being one of the initial console RPGs to incorporate voice acting, animated sequences, and CD-quality audio, all made possible by its initial platform, the Sega CD. A remade version, Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete, was later released for PS1 and Sega Saturn, and it’s this iteration that’s part of the Lunar Remastered Collection. Its successor, Lunar 2: Eternal Blue, debuted on both PS1 and Saturn, expanding upon the gameplay and narrative presentation of the first installment, with even more voiced dialogues and a larger cast.

At their inception, these elements were revolutionary, though early voice performances have become infamous due to inconsistent quality. However, the Lunar Remastered Collection boasts brand-new English voice acting for both games, although the scripts for the remasters are based on the original translations.
