Los Angeles Lakers sold for $10B in record-breaking sale

The legendary basketball team based out of Los Angeles, known as the LA Lakers, was recently purchased in a groundbreaking deal worth an astounding $10 billion.

In 1979, Jerry Buss and his family assumed control over the Lakers, playing a significant role in shaping it into one of the most legendary NBA franchises.

For many years now, it has been a residence for some of the most renowned figures in basketball history, such as Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, and LeBron James.

On June 19th, last Wednesday, the family signed a deal to offload the Lakers for an unprecedented sum of cash.
