After a three-year wait, “The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie” will finally stream on HBO Max as planned. Initially put on hold by Warner Bros. Discovery, this fully-animated “Looney Tunes” film was initially intended to be an exclusive for the platform, and now it will make its streaming debut there under a new name for the service.
On Friday, June 27th, “The Day the Earth Blew Up” – a new Looney Tunes movie featuring Porky Pig and Daffy Duck as the unexpected heroes of Earth when they uncover an alien mind control plot at a local bubblegum factory – will premiere on Max in the U.S. A day later, on Saturday, June 28th at 8:00 p.m. ET, the film will air on HBO linear. In this movie, Porky and Daffy must save their town (and potentially the world) from an alien plot, but they may just drive each other crazy in the process!
