The town, a vital aspect of your gameplay, will not only provide assistance to its residents but also offers an opportunity to forge connections with them, including the possibility of developing romantic relationships with certain NPCs – potential marriage candidates, if you will.

A significant aspect of the game involves nurturing relationships through romance. You’ll encounter numerous characters, allowing you to forge connections. The dynamics of these relationships resemble those found in games like Stardew Valley, featuring interactions such as talking with NPCs, participating in heart events, and even remembering their birthdays.

The creators have shared that the initial release (version 1.0) of Tales of Seikyu will feature a total of 14 potential romantic partners to choose from. Nonetheless, during the early access period, you’ll only be able to pursue relationships with six characters.

Bachelor list

  1. Yohji Shibata (available at early access launch) – a reticent and sometimes misunderstood local diplomat. He uses his political power to create human utopia on the island.
  2. Torleone – a mysterious and determined fish-shop owner. He doesn’t talk about his past, and looks like he has some unfinished business.
  3. Hephaestus (available at early access launch) – a Yokai blacksmith. He is tall and well-built. Don’t let his rough look fool you though, he is a kind person.
  4. Musashi (available at early access launch) – a merchant who wants to redeem himself. In the past he traded black market goods.
  5. Leon Achyard – a former explorer, who now shares his experience with others.
  6. Sasaki – a furniture store owner, who loves jokes. He has tendency to mask his problems with humor.

Bachelorette list

  1. Yui Oda – the mayor of Seikyu. She comes from a prestigious family.
  2. Shuten – a tavern owner, who often listens and offers advice to her troubled customers. She has two adopted daughters.
  3. Nyotengu (available at early access launch) – a warrior and peacekeeper of Yokai world. She’s loyal to Tengu clan of which she is a part.
  4. Yoni – she’s a talented and naive Yokai. She has a dream to become an idol.
  5. Anna (available at early access launch) – a casino worker. She is quiet and does not initiate contact with others.
  6. Miss. Ama – a former actress with a troubled past. Now she’s a local tailor.
  7. Liliana Shibata (available at early access launch) – a local artist and Yohji’s twin sister. She loves nature. She spends her days painting flowers and looking for rare plants.
  8. Mika Fukuhara – a spa owner who loves water. Her age and beauty are the subject of many rumors.

Tales of Seikyu roadmap

According to the blueprint for 2025, the team is intending to incorporate additional characters with whom players can form romantic relationships. One such character will become accessible following the game’s first significant update. Furthermore, they are also working on adding more emotional scenes and options for marriage.

Absolutely, romance isn’t our only focus. There are numerous other exciting elements on our development roadmap as well, with all of them set to be released in 2025 (assuming everything goes smoothly according to plan).
