Fifteen years is no small feat for any game, and it’s heartwarming to see Riot celebrating us, the players, who have stood by them through thick and thin.
Riot Games, creators of League of Legends, have unveiled plans for the Player Journey Festival, a global celebration highlighting players’ unique experiences. Here are the details, including the event’s kickoff date and other insights.
As we edge closer to the 15th anniversary of League of Legends, both developers and enthusiastic gamers are marking a significant milestone in their shared history. Over the past decade and a half, they’ve experienced thrilling moments such as new champion launches, events, and numerous other highlights – but also endured challenging periods like suboptimal metas and balance adjustments. Through it all, passionate players have remained steadfast.
In honor of the occasion, Riot is launching League of Legends Player Days – a sequence of events designed to celebrate both within and beyond the game. If you’re curious about how League of Legends is marking its 15th anniversary, here’s all the information you require.
LoL Player Days event start date
The Player Days event commences on October 9, 2024. Although the primary festivities end after three days, participants can continue gathering event items all the way up until October 28, 2024.
LoL Player Days event content
Player Days features a mix of content related to and outside of League of Legends. The primary focus for the event is on the out-of-League content, with three themed days being the main attractions. These themed days are as follows:
In addition to regular days, different skins related to those themes will go on sale in the shop. Among them is the much anticipated K/DA Gragas skin.
LoL Player Days event rewards
To mark the in-game celebration, Riot is distributing a variety of perks for the event, beginning October 8. Over the course of ten days, players can collect their rewards, which may include Mythic Essence, emblems, and even the Mythic Anniversary Sivir skin.
Luckily, you don’t have to play daily to earn rewards since you can accumulate them over several days. Then, if you prefer, you can play multiple games consecutively to claim your desired items. However, keep in mind that you’ll need to play a total of 10 games to collect all the event rewards. But don’t worry, you have until October 28 to achieve this goal.
