After countless hours of platforming, creating, and sharing memories within the vibrant world of LittleBigPlanet 3, I can’t help but feel a pang of nostalgia.


Media Molecule recently announced that as of October 31, LittleBigPlanet 3 and all its downloadable content (DLC) will no longer be available for purchase on the PlayStation Network Store.

Media Molecule announced via Twitter that as of October 31, 2024, the game LittleBigPlanet 3 and all its downloadable content will no longer be available for purchase on PlayStation Store, following 10 years of gameplay, creation, and sharing.

An important update on LittleBigPlanet 3 (PS4) and LittleBigPlanet DLC on the PlayStation Store:

The creators of the game have assured us that if you buy the game or any additional content (DLC) from LittleBigPlanet, you can continue to use it even when the individual items are no longer available for purchase. It’s worth mentioning that DLC for both LittleBigPlanet and LittleBigPlanet 2 can be used with LittleBigPlanet 3. Although it may appear that all LittleBigPlanet DLC will disappear, we have contacted TopMob for more information on this matter.

The permanent closure of servers for LittleBigPlanet 3 on PS3 occurred in 2021 as a result of persistent DDOS attacks. Earlier, in January, Media Molecule had temporarily shut down the PS4 servers while investigating reported problems. However, due to ongoing technical issues, they chose in April to maintain the servers offline indefinitely.
