Lisa Ann Walter Teases ‘Abbott Elementary’-‘It’s Always Sunny’ Crossover and ‘Superman & Lois’ Star Bitsie Tulloch Talks Series Finale: Inside Warner Bros. Fall TV Celebration

As a seasoned movie critic with over three decades of experience, I must say that the upcoming crossover between “Abbott Elemntary” and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” has me positively giddy! I’ve always been a fan of both shows, but never did I imagine them sharing screen time. The City of Brotherly Love is about to get even funnier!

At Warner Bros. Television Group’s Fall TV Season Event, “Abbott Elementary” actress Lisa Ann Walter shared her enthusiasm for the forthcoming crossover episode featuring “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

The two popular comedies are set in Philadelphia (the City of Brotherly Love) and have already started shooting simultaneously.

Walter remarked, “I’ve been an avid follower of that series for quite some time now, and the humor they’ve brought to our ‘Abbott’ set is simply outstanding.

She pointed out that compared to the team from “Abbott,” the actors in “It’s Always Sunny,” particularly Charlie Day, are significantly more inclined towards improvising their performances.

Walter expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I was thrilled about sharing the screen with Dee and Kaitlin Olson. I’ve crossed paths with her at various events we attend… She’s someone I genuinely admire. I asked Quinta, ‘Could I perform my scenes with her? Please write scenes for us together.’

More highlights from the red carpet included:

Bitsie Tulloch

I had the pleasure of discussing the fourth and concluding season of “Superman & Lois,” which debuted recently, with its talented star, Bitsie Tulloch.

Tulloch stated, “We had been informed that it would last for a minimum of seven seasons. The viewers, who have shown such incredible support, kindness, and generosity towards us, absolutely loved it.

Oliver and James Phelps

The Weasley twin actors from the “Harry Potter” series, Oliver and James Phelps, are the hosts of a baking competition called “Wizards of Baking” on Food Network.

James commented that they had just watched the show, and were impressed by its exceptional filming and top-notch quality,” (paraphrased)

Speaking about possible upcoming series, James expressed his desire for a project that would explore various global locations, highlighting unique aspects reminiscent of the ‘Harry Potter’ films.

John Wells and Matt Kester

John Wells and Matt Kester hinted at a possible romantic relationship developing between Em Wright, played by Arielle Kebbel, and Will Ready, portrayed by Adam Demos, within the Hawaii-set drama series “Rescue: HI-Surf.

Kester commented, “There might be more unexpected aspects to this show than you anticipate.” He went on to explain, “Our aim and what I believe we accomplished was creating stunning underwater scenes that make viewers feel as if they’re alongside the lifeguards performing their remarkable feats. The result is a very raw, emotional connection with the ocean.

Wells explained that one aspect involves understanding the nature of these characters. This includes delving into their backgrounds – family relationships like siblings and parents, origins, as well as past experiences such as childhood hardships.

Justin Noble

According to “The Sex Lives of College Girls” creator Justin Noble, Season 3, set to debut on November 21st, will introduce additional characters, extended episode lengths, and daring, dynamic decisions unlike anything the show has done before.

A trailer arrived in my email moments ago, and it’s the finest initial version of a trailer I’ve ever encountered,” Noble remarked. “It had me chuckling aloud.
