Lipton ‘discontinues’ its most popular flavor in bizarre joke

On Tuesday, March 18, Lipton Iced Tea announced the discontinuation of their famous Peach-flavored drink.

Luckily for fans of the flavor, Lipton posted the next day that it was an April Fools’ Day joke.

Word spread in X about the April Fool’s prank, prompting numerous users to criticize the company for pulling such a trick so prematurely.

“April fools? We’re in March.. and it’s the 19th,” one user commented.

Back in 2024, Red Lobster wasn’t the initial company to poke fun on April Fool’s Day by swapping out their top-selling item, as they temporarily changed their famous Cheddar Bay Biscuits to breadsticks instead. Lipton is following a similar path this year.
