As a cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that I, myself, have been recruited by Lionsgate! In my new role as Executive Vice President of Digital Strategy and Growth, I’ll be joining forces with the team at this fantastic studio. Most recently, I was leading digital operations at Westbrook Media, the powerhouse company helmed by Will and Jada Pinkett Smith. I can’t wait to bring my expertise in digital media to Lionsgate and help drive their growth in the digital realm!
In his new position, Haugen is set to spearhead Lionsgate’s production of original content for digital media, overseeing strategic partnerships and various storytelling projects within this domain. His main objective is to capitalize on Lionsgate’s extensive film and TV library by forming alliances with digital platforms such as YouTube, Snap, Pinterest, Meta (Facebook), and TikTok. Additionally, he will work closely with the 3 Arts management team to provide their clients with novel brand opportunities and expand their businesses in the digital arena.

Brad’s digital acumen, brand-building prowess, and extensive connections in the industry will fuel our potential for growth, venturing beyond the traditional boundaries of our business into uncharted territories of opportunity.
Haugen identified franchises produced by Lionsgate such as The Hunger Games, Twilight, Mad Men, and John Wick as being part of “one of the world’s largest and most valuable film and TV collections.” Furthermore, he described 3Arts as a “talent management and production company with significant influence.
Haugen stated, ‘The possibilities for expanding Lionsgate’s business and earning substantial additional income in the digital media sector are immense. I’m excited to collaborate on creating something remarkable with all potential partners.’
Throughout his professional journey, Haugen has collaborated with artists such as Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, Justin Bieber, Ryan Reynolds, and Megan Thee Stallion to produce top-tier content. At Westbrook Media, he spearheaded the digital content branch, managing short-term and mid-length content production, digital branding, and oversight. Notable projects under his direction include “Red Table Talk” for Meta and iHeart, as well as the “Fresh Prince” reunion special on Max.
In the virtual reality realm, Haugen created and released Post Malone’s immersive album “Twelve Carat Toothache” and introduced the Meta-produced “Shaq’tacular Spectacular New Year’s Eve” VR special. Additionally, he oversaw original brand-funded series such as Samsung’s “Exposure” on Hulu and “Own the 8 Count”, a collaboration with Logitech.
Earlier in his career, he collaborated with Matthew Segal and Jarrett Moreno, co-founders of a “socially responsible” digital media company. His team there generated branded content that was published on over a dozen social platforms, often in collaboration with industry giants like Netflix, Spotify, HBO, Microsoft, GE, Adobe, T-Mobile, and others. Before this role, he served as the second full-time employee and first Chief Marketing Officer at Scooter Braun Projects. Alongside Braun, he developed the online fan base for Justin Bieber, overseeing marketing and business strategies for Bieber’s projects. Additionally, he managed marketing and business development initiatives for other prominent clients such as Ariana Grande, Tori Kelly, PSY, Martin Garrix, and Carly Rae Jepsen.
After completing his studies at the University of Texas, Haugen embarked on a professional journey in business development at the prominent ad agency BBH. During this time, he was involved in creating marketing campaigns for notable clients such as Unilever, Diageo, Miller Lite, Cadillac, Vaseline, and Johnnie Walker.
