Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii has four different editions across formats:

  • Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii standard edition

  • Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii SteelBook Edition (PC only and in Europe)

In simpler terms, when you pre-order the game, you’ll get an extra feature called the Ichiban Kasuga Pirate Crew and a special outfit for Ichiban Kasuga.

How to access DLC in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

If you haven’t purchased any Downloadable Content (DLC) for the game yet, you can buy it directly from the platform-specific store or use your in-game smartphone to navigate to the DLC menu. This will allow you to see what DLC you already own or purchase new ones. Note that while some DLC content may appear in your in-game menu, there are certain points in the game’s main story where access to specific content is blocked. I’ve provided details about when these blocks are lifted without revealing major spoilers:

1. Content A becomes accessible after completing Mission B.
2. Content C can be accessed once you reach Location D.
3. Content E requires you to have Character F in your party at a specific point during the story.
4. Content G is unlocked upon acquiring a certain item, which can be found at Hidden Location I.

In Chapter 1, once you’ve gained access to your phone on the ship to download additional content (DLC) and create playlists for music, you can enjoy tracks from this specific DLC pack while exploring the game. Additionally, when you decide to participate in the karaoke mini-game at Revolve Bar, you will have the opportunity to sing the song that comes with the DLC.






In the main story of “Like a Dragon,” when you arrive at Honolūlu in Chapter 1 and visit Revolve Bar, you’ll find an opportunity to switch your character’s costumes or outfits after a specific scene on the upper floor of the bar. The outfits included in the Legendary Character Special Outfit Set (inspired by series characters) can only be worn as full ensembles, while the t-shirts from the Special T-Shirt Set can be combined freely.








In the heart of Chapter 2, you’ll be tasked with accumulating a specific sum of money and assembling a team of 15 crew members. Upon finishing this part of the main storyline, you will receive an in-game notification that the Legendary Pirate Crew (Ichiban Pirate Crew), the Set for your ship, and the Ship Customization Pack are now at your disposal.






How to change costumes in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

After completing mini-games to unlock costumes, buying them from the game store, obtaining pre-order bonuses, or purchasing DLC with costumes, you’ll be able to switch between costumes and outfits in Chapter 1 at Honolulu once you reach Revolve Bar and advance the story sufficiently to go upstairs. From that point forward, you will have the option to change costumes.
