Lifeweaver’s Epic Buff: The New Must-Have Support in Overwatch 2!

In the heart of mid-season 15, I’ve discovered a hidden gem among the Overwatch 2 support heroes – he’s been given an impressive boost! This buff has me believing this character might just take over as my top pick for the role. It’s like they’ve unlocked his true potential and now he’s ready to shine brighter than ever!

Over time, Blizzard has skillfully assembled a wide array of characters, each possessing distinct skills and talents. Although certain ones may excel over others in specific situations, it’s important to remember that every hero can outshine when handled by the right player.

Despite being frequently underrated by many players, these underestimated choices can indeed be lethal if you understand how to wield them effectively. For most of Season 15, Lifeweaver fell into this category, but following a mid-season update that boosted his power, he’s now poised to make an impact in the game’s metagame.

Lifeweaver is top-tier Support after major buff

In the March 18 update, there was a significant emphasis on adjusting Perks, aiming to even out overpowered and underpowered effects. As a result, numerous characters saw improvements, yet Lifeweaver emerged as the character who stood to gain the most.

In this revision, the character’s main advantages have received significant enhancements, with the most notable boost going to Superbloom. Previously, players had trouble activating the bonus damage when shooting thorns, but now, the ability inflicts 40 damage instead of 30 and offers a more lenient activation window of 2.5 seconds.

This feature has a minor downside – you’ll need to score 20 hits rather than 16 to trigger an explosion. However, it significantly enhances the offensive power of your Support character towards the closing stages of battles, overall.

In the update, Lifeweaving’s skill, Rejuvenating Dash, now boosts the healing power of your subsequent Healing Blossom from 20 to 30 points.

A common complaint about Lifeweaver is his healing abilities are not sufficient because using a Healing Blossom requires some time to charge up before it can perform significant healing. This enhancement addresses this issue by providing the ability to dash, increasing your healing power to aid an injured ally promptly.

Regretfully, it’s not possible to activate both benefits simultaneously since they belong to Major categories. However, these adjustments have turned Lifeweaver into an exceptionally adaptable Support character, capable of shifting between dealing damage and healing based on the scenario at hand.

If your Mercy character is skilled at keeping teammates alive, you can essentially treat them as an additional Damage Per Second (DPS) hero by selecting Superbloom ability. This could potentially overpower the enemy team. Conversely, if the game isn’t going well, opt for Lifeweaving to provide essential healing support instead.

Considering the circumstances, it’s not unexpected that you might observe Lifeweaver taking control in both Quick Play and Competitive modes during Season 16.
