Lies Of P Expansion Will Take Up To 20 Hours, Isn’t Related To That Cutscene

The Lies of P: Overture, as confirmed by Neowiz, is expected to last anywhere from 15 to 20 hours to finish. However, it’s important to note that this expansion won’t continue the story hinted at in the ending of the original game. Instead, it will be an integral part of the base game itself.

As a dedicated fan, I was thrilled when Lies of P director Choi Ji-won shared some exciting news with Eurogamer. The Overture DLC, set to drop approximately in Chapter 9 of the main game, will complete the full experience of Lies of P. This expansion serves as a prequel to the core storyline, but it also introduces fresh weapon types such as a bow, enhancing the gaming experience for those who’ve already conquered the base game. However, if you’re eagerly waiting for more details on the intriguing cliffhanger at the end of Lies of P, patience is required, as we’ll have to wait a bit longer for additional story revelations.

Spoilers for the cutscene at the end of Lies of P below.

Choi explained during an interview with IGN that the cutscene isn’t connected to the Overture DLC, but hinted at future announcements without providing more details. For those who haven’t finished Lies of P, the closing scene suggests a potential new universe for the series based on The Wizard of Oz, featuring a girl in ruby slippers. Given that a sequel to Lies of P has been confirmed, it appears this cutscene may be laying the groundwork for the next installment in the series.

Choi shared with Eurogamer that he finds Elden Ring Neightreign refreshing and innovative, but Neowiz intends to maintain Lies of P as a solo player game for now, possibly exploring multiplayer options in future projects. The upcoming release of Lies of P: Overture is expected during summer 2025.
