Lenovo Legion Go SteamOS Handheld Preorders Are Live At Best Buy

Now accepting pre-orders for the Lenovo Legion Go S, equipped with SteamOS. This makes it the initial third-party device to run SteamOS, which could generate more interest than typical pre-orders for a handheld PC. The Legion Go S with SteamOS launches on May 25th, offering two distinct configurations in terms of RAM and storage capacity. Both models boast spacious 8-inch screens, rapid 120Hz refresh rates, adjustable triggers, and other high-end features.

On the very same day, Lenovo will unveil its second Legion Go S model, which runs on Windows 11 – the initial Windows-based Legion Go S was released in February – alongside two other models powered by SteamOS. Let’s examine Lenovo’s forthcoming alternatives to the Steam Deck.

Apart from the Legion Go S, Lenovo also has another handheld in the pipeline – the Legion Go 2. This device is expected to launch this year, though we don’t have an exact release date just yet. It comes equipped with a more potent Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor, sports an 8.8-inch, 144Hz OLED screen featuring Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and boasts a 74Wh battery for longer gaming sessions.
