Lena Headey Is Out for Revenge in Ballistic
The movie Ballistic centers on a mother (Lena Headey) who learns the bullet that killed her son in Afghanistan was manufactured at the factory where she’s employed. Driven by grief and anger, she embarks on a quest for revenge against those she holds responsible.
Chad Faust, known for his work in Better Start Running and Girl, wrote, directed, and appears in Ballistic. The film also stars Lena Headey, along with Hamza Haq (from Transplant and With Love and a Major Organ), Amybeth McNulty (Anne with an E), Amanda Brugel (Jason X, Dark Matter), and Enrico Colantoni (English Teacher, The Trades). Jordan Kronis plays Headey’s son in the film.
Lena Headey’s new role brings to mind her performance in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, where she played a mother fiercely protecting her son with her combat skills. While her Game of Thrones character was villainous, she still demonstrated a relatable parental love and protectiveness towards her child. Headey’s ability to portray these complex emotions makes her a perfect fit for the lead role in Ballistic.
Lena Headey Can Also Be Seen in Another Action Film Soon
Lena Headey, known for her roles in many popular shows, will soon be in another action-packed movie called Normal. The film also stars Bob Odenkirk and Henry Winkler, and was written by Derek Kolstad, the creator of John Wick. This follows Headey’s recent work in the 2022 action thriller 9 Bullets, where she acted alongside Sam Worthington, and her starring role in the Netflix Western series The Abandons, created by Kurt Sutter.
Lena Headey has several new projects coming up. She’ll appear in a detective series created by Charlie Brooker for Netflix, co-starring Paddy Considine and Georgina Campbell. She’s also joined the cast of the sequel to the popular romantic comedy Red, White & Royal Blue, titled Red, White & Royal Wedding.
Both Ballistic and Normal will be released on April 17, 2026, showing in select cinemas and available to rent or buy online.
