As a long-time fan of Sonic the Hedgehog, I’m absolutely thrilled about The Lego Company’s latest collectible announcement: Shadow the Hedgehog! This edgy reflection of our favorite blue hedgehog is coming to life as a 753-piece plastic bust on October 1st.

At San Diego Comic-Con 2024, GameSpot is privileged to unveil The Lego Company’s upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog collectible: a Shadow the Hedgehog Lego set. A more rugged version of Sonic, Shadow will consist of 720 pieces and will be for sale from October 1. With a tag price of $70, this set provides an engaging building experience to create Dr. Robotnik’s most formidable creation’s head.

After being completely assembled, you can discover some exciting Easter eggs in this plastic statue of Shadow. One such hidden treasure is a Chaos Emerald concealed within him. His base holds several gold rings, and he comes equipped with a nameplate for display. This Shadow figure is modeled after his initial appearance in Sonic Adventure 2, which was released in 2001 for the Sega Dreamcast.

Shadow has featured in numerous other video games throughout the years – including one from 2005 with a stylish motorcycle and an abundance of weapons – and is set to make his cinematic debut in Sonic the Hedgehog 3. In a surprising turn of events, Keanu Reeves will lend his voice to Shadow for the sequel. Gamers eagerly anticipate Shadow’s cameos in Sonic X Generations, scheduled for release on October 25.

On October 1st, Lego will launch Fortnite-themed sets, perfect for fans of the popular battle royale game. Some exciting options include the Fortnite Battle Bus, Durr Burger, Supply Llama, and Peely Bone kits.
