‘Legally Blonde’ Filmmaker Robert Luketic to Direct ‘All Out of Love: The Air Supply Story’ (EXCLUSIVE)

As a movie enthusiast with a penchant for romantic tales and a soft spot for underdog stories, I’m thrilled to hear about Robert Luketic directing “All Out of Love: The Air Supply Story.” His knack for turning successful films like “Legally Blonde” and “Monster-In-Law” into blockbusters makes him the perfect choice for this project.

Robert Luketic is set to direct “All Out of Love: The Air Supply Saga” for Altit Media Group. This movie chronicles the journey of Air Supply’s original members, Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock, as they chase their musical aspirations, eventually achieving massive success with hits like “Every Woman in the World,” “Lost in Love,” and the film’s title track, “All Out of Love.”

In the Luketic project, they appoint a director boasting a successful history at the box office – Luketic was in charge of both “Legally Blonde” movies, two of Reese Witherspoon’s biggest career hits, as well as the comedy “Monster-In-Law,” starring Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda, another box office success.

Filming for the movie penned by BAFTA-nominated writer Stuart Beattie, who has worked on movies like “Pirates of the Caribbean” and Baz Luhrmann’s “Australia,” is in progress at the moment.

At Altit Media Group, Dean Altit will handle the production duties, while Barry Seigel, Jesse Weiner, Julia Xu, and Johnny Hsu will serve as executive producers. The shooting is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025 in both Australia and the United Kingdom. This film is being made to mark the band’s golden anniversary, which will be celebrated upon its release.

Apart from “The Ugly Truth,” a romantic comedy starring Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler, as well as the heist movie “21,” Luketic has also worked on various projects. On television, he has directed episodes for shows like “Jane the Virgin” on The CW and “Schmigadoon!” on Apple TV+.

As a music aficionado, I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing the remarkable journey of Air Supply. This band has consistently captivated audiences with an unbroken streak of seven top-five hits, a testament to their timeless appeal. With over 100 million albums sold globally and more than 5,000 performances under their belt, they’ve truly left an indelible mark on the music scene. Among their many chart-toppers are “Here I Am,” “Even the Nights Are Better,” and the iconic “Making Love Out of Nothing at All.”

“Luketic stated that ‘All Out of Love’ is a deeply emotional and victorious tribute to the musical prowess of Australians Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell, creators of some of the world’s most beloved love songs. He strongly feels this tale needs to be shared with everyone, and he’s eager to bring it to life on stage.”

Altit has just finished filming the movie “Home Sweet Home Reborn,” featuring Michele Morrone and Urassaya Sperbund, which is based on the video game series “Home Sweet Home.” His previous works include “Not Without Hope” starring Zachary Levi and Josh Duhamel, “The Misfits” with Pierce Brosnan, and “The Good Neighbor” starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

Luketic is represented by CAA, Mosaic, and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson & Christopher.
