The physical versions of the Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver Remastered collection have been moved from June 13 to July 11. Previously, digital versions of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered were launched on all console platforms and PC in December last year. The forthcoming standard and Deluxe Edition physical releases will only be available for PS5 and Nintendo Switch. If you haven’t pre-ordered your copy yet, the budget-friendly Deluxe Edition seems like one of the most appealing upcoming collectible editionsespecially considering its affordable price. The remastered edition of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1&2 offers improved versions of Soul Reaver and Soul Reaver 2, initially released on PlayStation 1 and 2. In these games, players control Raziel, a wraith who was once a vampire, seeking vengeance against his creator, Kain, across the mystical world of Nosgoth. After that came Blood Omen 2, which, while disconnected from the story of Soul Reaver, delves deeper into Kain’s character development and the history of Nosgoth. As a devoted fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about diving back into the captivating world of Legacy of Kain with Defiance. This thrilling chapter unfolds right after the events of Soul Reaver 1 and 2, giving us the unique opportunity to control not one, but two iconic characters: Raziel and Kain. However, beware that it concludes on a nail-biting cliffhanger, which has left fans eagerly anticipating a new installment in the series. Despite this tantalizing teaser, Defiance provides some satisfying resolution to the Soul Reaver saga, making it a must-play after finishing the remastered collection.
Legacy of Kain: Defiance is primarily available on PC, though if you’re lucky, you might find a second-hand PS2 copy. The best part? You can grab it for only $7!
