Leaked multiplayer Pokemon game footage reveals mounts in action and a gun

As a long-time Pokemon enthusiast who has been through every generation since the Game Boy days, I must say that the latest leaks about “Synapse” have me both excited and intrigued. The idea of an online co-op battling Pokemon game where we can ride and fight rampaging creatures is a fresh take on the franchise that I’ve grown to love.

Additional details about Pokemon have been released, hinting at a cooperative multiplayer experience centered around wild monsters that can be controlled for rampages, mounted, and even equipped with guns.

Over the past several weeks, the excitement among Pokemon enthusiasts has been off the charts, due to Game Freak experiencing an enormous data breach. This incident exposed a multitude of unseen game prototypes, content, and much more. Among these leaks, there’s talk of a Pokemon game that shares gameplay mechanics similar to Splatoon.

Under the code name “Synapse,” we have uncovered additional details regarding this upcoming game. According to information leaked by Centro LEAKS on platform X, it appears to be a cooperative online battle game featuring Pokémon, in which players are able to ride their chosen Pokémon and participate in combat.

In this game, as a player, your primary goal revolves around “overcoming and riding on unruly Pokémon.” Additionally, some sneak peeks of the gameplay have surfaced online, featuring various Pokémon acting as rideable creatures.

Ok here’s what you’ve been waiting for.

When you’re riding a Pokémon during gameplay, it was demonstrated that you can launch an attack using another monster’s Poke Ball, causing them to deploy their skills in response.

In essence, it appears similar to a multiplayer Pokémon game set in the digital world, with an intriguing twist: as hinted by previous leaks, this game includes a firearm element, adding a unique layer to its gameplay dynamics.

The leaked images showed a gun that looks more like a can of spray, fitting to the information the game looks to be inspired from Splatoon. There’s no footage of this being in action gameplay-wise, but it’s already looking like a fresh addition to the franchise.

As a devoted admirer, I’ve learned some tantalizing tidbits about this upcoming title. It appears that we’ll have the freedom to personalize our monsters by adding unique paint markings, which is an exciting prospect! Furthermore, it was originally intended to be released on both Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, making it accessible to a wider audience.

Based on leaked data, it appears the original code name for this game was “Rodeo.” There were rumors suggesting that Project Rodeo had been scrapped, with its concept being subsequently picked up by ILCA/Game Freak and rebranded as “Synapse” instead.

Despite the uncertainty about whether the game will be released, there are indications that “it might still be in production,” as suggested by recent leaks.
