The recent beta test for Battlefield 6 has generally been positive, though many players are worried the game might start copying the colorful, over-the-top style of games like Fortnite and Call of Duty. Vince Zampella, the head of Battlefield Studios, has promised the game will remain true to its roots. However, a leaked costume has sparked concern among players, who are making it clear they don’t want to see similar designs included in the final game.
Even if you don’t think this looks too flashy or over the top, the community needs to push back against skins like these. EA with push cosmetics as far as we let them and we shouldn’t wait ’til they try adding Santa before they are deterred by community backlash.

While not as over-the-top as some of the animated character skins in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the new lime green and black design might be a shift away from the realistic military look that many Battlefield players enjoy. One fan, SpirtualBacon, thinks now is the time to share feedback with EA before they commit to even bolder designs.
Look, I’ve seen other Battlefield players worry about this too – will they start adding stuff from other games? Honestly, I don’t think EA will keep crossovers out of the next Battlefield. Activision made a ton of money selling Call of Duty skins in other games, and EA usually jumps at any chance to make more money. There’s no word *right now* about crossovers in Battlefield 6, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they happen eventually.
EA will share the story details for Battlefield 6 on September 26th. They previously showed off the game’s battle royale mode earlier in September. Battlefield 6 is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 10th.
