Kelli Giddish is set to rejoin “Law & Order: SVU” as a regular cast member in Season 27, as per EbMaster’s confirmation.)
Originally, Giddish debuted on “SVU” during its 13th season, playing detective Amanda Rollins. She stayed with the series as a primary character until halfway through Season 24. On the show, it was revealed that Rollins got married to ADA Sonny Carisi Jr and subsequently decided to take up teaching.
She’s been back on the show since then, initially appearing as a special guest in the final episode of Season 24 and subsequently in episodes from Seasons 25 and 26. Now, she’s officially rejoining the cast as a regular member for the series.
Vincent D’Onofrio, famously known for his roles on various Dick Wolf productions, has portrayed Rollins in “Law & Order,” “Law & Order: Organized Crime,” as well as “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago P.D.”

The series “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (often abbreviated as “SVU”) has been renewed for another season, alongside “Law & Order,” which was announced in May. Mariska Hargitay serves as the leading actress on “SVU,” joined by Ice T and Peter Scanavino. Previous reports have indicated that Juliana Martinez and Octavio Pisano will be leaving the show at the conclusion of this current season. In addition to Wolf, David Graziano, Julie Martin, Hargitay, Norberto Barba, Kenneth Brown, and Peter Jankowski, executive producers on “SVU,” Michele Fazekas has been announced as the new showrunner for Season 27.
Previously, NBC extended the run for all three series under the “Chicago” umbrella, whereas CBS discontinued two productions from the “FBI” franchise by Wolf Entertainment, yet they have initiated a fresh series within the same franchise, featuring Tom Ellis in the lead role.
