As a moviegoer and fan of Tierney’s work, I can’t help but be impressed by her notable contributions to both film and television. One of her most recognized projects is “The Affair” on Showtime, where I watched her brilliant portrayal of Helen Solloway from seasons 1 through 5 (2014-2019). Her performance in this series even earned her a prestigious Golden Globe award. Additionally, similar to the long-running series “Law & Order,” Tierney has graced our screens on NBC with other significant roles. In the ’90s sitcom “NewsRadio,” she played Lisa Miller for all five seasons, and in the medical drama “ER,” I was captivated by her performance as Abby Lockhart throughout Seasons 6 to 15.
