Last Of Us Boss Was So Impressed By This Season 2 Actor That He Gave Him A Part In Intergalactic

In a recent discussion, Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann revealed that actor Tony Dalton will feature in their upcoming game titled Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. However, this information may spoil elements from HBO’s series The Last of Us.

In the sixth episode of The Last of Us Season 2, there is a flashback featuring Joel’s abusive father, portrayed by Tony Dalton from Better Call Saul. Neil Druckmann, creator of the series, was so impressed with Dalton’s performance in just one scene that he directly offered him a role in Intergalactic without requiring an audition or any further evaluation.

“He immediately came to mind, and I just offered it to him on the spot,” Druckmann said.

In addition to Dalton, another actor from “The Last of Us,” Tati Gabrielle, will be featured in Intergalactic. She has been cast as the main character, Jordan A. Mun. To prepare for this role, she’s collaborating with Druckmann to brace herself for potential backlash and negative responses.

Apart from Dalton and Gabrielle, the film Intergalactic also stars Marvel actor Kumail Nanjiani and Halley Gross from The Last of Us: Part II, who takes on an acting role as well.

For the past ten years, Naughty Dog has introduced its first new original intellectual property, which they’ve been working on since 2020. Over two hundred fifty people at Naughty Dog have contributed to this project, and external development assistance has also been part of the process. Co-directing this project is Neil Druckmann.

The movie “Intergalactic” will feature music composed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, who are known for their work with Nine Inch Nails. Unfortunately, gamers won’t be able to get their hands on this game until at least 2027.

Beyond their project Intergalactic, Naughty Dog is also developing at least one more game, and Neil Druckmann is part of this additional endeavor as well.
