There’s good fortune involved if you manage to secure a ticket for the initial showings of Marvel’s Thunderbolts tonight.
Over the past few years, the MCU’s box office performance has been quite unusual. In 2023, two of their least profitable films were released – Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels. However, they managed to deliver another blockbuster earning a billion dollars with Deadpool & Wolverine in the following year, 2024.
This spring saw lower-than-expected performance for Captain America: Brave New World, making upcoming film Thunderbolts crucial since it marks the start of Marvel’s two-movie summer blockbuster season. The Fantastic Four is set to release in July as well.
If you want to catch it before it premieres in cinemas next week, you only have this opportunity left, but if you haven’t done so yet, chances are you might have missed the boat.
Thunderbolts early screenings sell out – but there could be another way
Should you visit Fandango’s main RSVP site for tonight’s preliminary Thunderbolts showing on April 22, you’ll notice that all screenings have already been booked.
Here are two actions you might consider:
1. Regularly reload the page because there’s a small chance that someone could cancel their tickets, making more seats available.
2. Give it a shot and visit one of the cinemas showing the early screening to see if you can buy a ticket directly.

According to the site, the event is free and open to everyone on a first-arrival basis. However, entry isn’t automatically granted as it depends on availability.

A warning if you have Thunderbolts tickets
