In simple terms, World of Tanks is a widely played game known for its collaborations with popular characters from various games, even those belonging to different genres. The forthcoming collaboration within the free MMO developed by Wargaming studio could be an exciting event for ardent fans of this particular title.
The iconic explorer Lara Croft and the hard-boiled character Duke Nukem are set to join the action within World of Tanks, appearing as unlockable characters in the “Heroes’ Journey,” a unique addition to the game’s battle pass. This special feature will be introduced next Thursday, July 10th. Players will have approximately two weeks to gather the rewards from this Battle Pass, as the event is scheduled to conclude on July 21 at 8:30 pm Pacific Time.
It’s worth noting that the character Lara in World of Tanks is voiced by Keeley Hawes, known for her portrayal of the iconic archaeologist in Tomb Raider: Legend, Tomb Raider: Anniversary, and Tomb Raider: Underworld. In a future project by Wargaming Studio, we’ll be familiar with Jon St. John’s voice, who has lent his talents to the character Duke Nukem in games like Duke Nukem 3D, Duke Nukem: Time to Kill, and Duke Nukem Forever.
In their own chapters, Duke and Lara are introducing some high-end premium vehicles to World of Tanks. These unique chapters will offer exclusive rewards such as hero models, stickers, inscriptions, and medals. You’ll have the opportunity to obtain a medium tank at level VIII modeled after the Tomb Raider series and a level IX heavy assault tank inspired by the Duke Nukem franchise.
In Lara’s storyline within “World of Tanks”, there are planned to be 30 levels, while Duke’s narrative spans over 40. These premium passes can be unveiled using gold, and for those eager players, there will be an opportunity to acquire character packs from popular game franchises (such as General Graves or Amanda Evert) through direct purchase.
