The narrative-focused first-person shooter, initially developed by the team previously known as 4A Games Ukraine (now known as Mundfish), has experienced a delay this announcement coming shortly after initial game reviews were published.
In a statement, Dmytro Lymar, the CEO of Reburn (a developer he co-founded), admitted that they encountered unexpected difficulties since La Quimera is their debut project as an independent studio.
The developer stated that they’re doing their utmost to handle issues promptly under the challenging conditions we’re experiencing right here in Ukraine, given the current Russian military actions.
This past week, a Russian assault in Kyiv resulted in the death of at least a dozen individuals, marking one of the most severe strikes on the capital city since the summer of 2024.

Lymar expressed, “We appreciate your patience, ongoing encouragement, and comprehension. We’re eager to put La Quimera in the hands of players as quickly as we can.
More updates will be announced “as soon as we can,” the developer said.
After being assessed, the release of La Quimera encountered a delay. Initial critiques, on the whole, tended to be rather unfavorable. Insider Gaming described it as “underwhelming,” while Wccftech branded it as “brief and not particularly enjoyable.

4A Games employs developers who have previously contributed to the Metro series, a collection of games based on the novels penned by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky. Simultaneously, the upcoming Metro title continues to be developed within the studio.
