Kristine Barnett interview resurfaces amid Good American Family controversy

In the third episode of Good American Family, I found myself in the hot seat, fielding a flurry of television interviews about my extraordinary son, Jacob. Just like in real life, this wasn’t my first rodeo – I’d done something similar before. However, one old interview seemed to stir up quite a storm after the airing of the Natalia Grace series, leaving me navigating through a whirlwind of reactions and opinions.

The current weekly TV series on Hulu is unfolding the intricate, real-life tale of Natalia Grace. Adopted by Kristine and Michael Barnett in 2010, it was later revealed that they altered her age from eight to 22 years old in 2012, and then placed her in a secluded apartment on her own.

Since then, quite a bit has unfolded – among other things, I’ve learned that Natalia was just a kid during those events. The Good American Family is now bringing this story to life, starting with the Barnetts’ viewpoint before shifting focus to Natalia’s experiences towards the end.

In this production, Mark Duplass is cast as Michael and Imogen Faith Reid portrays Natalia. Meanwhile, Ellen Pompeo from Grey’s Anatomy assumes a crucial role as Kristine. From what we gather in this interview, her portrayal seems remarkably accurate. Please be advised: some viewers might find the content potentially upsetting.
