Konami Partners With Bloober Team Again For New Game, Following Silent Hill 2 Success

After the tremendous success of Bloober Team’s adaptation of Silent Hill 2, this Polish studio is joining forces with Konami again for a fresh project. Although fans are eagerly anticipating another Silent Hill game from them, Bloober Team has not yet confirmed that, instead, they have announced they’re developing “a new game using Konami’s intellectual property”.

According to a statement from the studio, the strong relationship established following the success of Silent Hill 2 served as a base for entering into another contract for a fresh venture. This partnership supports Bloober Team’s broader objective of growing their in-house development team under a first-party arrangement.

Beyond the realm of Silent Hill, Konami is also responsible for creating games like Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania, and Frogger, among numerous others. If I had my way, Bloober Team might tackle Frogger, but given their expertise, it appears they would be ideally suited for another remake of Silent Hill instead.

Bloober Team is developing their unique intellectual property titled Cronos: The New Dawn, which is a blend of retro-futuristic science fiction and horror set in 1980s Poland. Meanwhile, Konami is working on several titles within the Silent Hill franchise, such as Silent Hill f and Silent Hill: Townfall.

In a statement, Bloober Team’s CEO Piotr Babieno praised their partnership with Konami as extremely productive. The achievement of Silent Hill 2 serves as proof of this collaboration’s success. Through the exchange of knowledge and expertise, they have collectively produced top-tier projects together.

Absolutely, we’re keeping much under wraps for now, but let me tell you, our partnership has us buzzing with anticipation! When the moment is ripe, we can’t wait to unveil a unique and thrilling experience for gamers.
