Konami Direct Showcase Announced For This Week With Metal Gear Solid And Silent Hill

On June 12th at 6 AM Pacific Time or 9 AM Eastern Time, Konami is set to host its own summer event, called Konami Direct. This event will be broadcast live on YouTube, offering fresh updates about upcoming games such as Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and Silent Hill F. Other titles are also expected to make an appearance during the stream, which is scheduled to last approximately 37 minutes.

Over the past couple of years, Konami has made a strong return to the limelight after spending several years in relative obscurity. Lately, they’ve released collections of beloved Metal Gear Solid games, the highly praised Silent Hill 2 remake by Bloober Studio, and Suikoden remastered versions. They have some major projects lined up for 2025 and beyond as well.

Among these upcoming releases are:

1. The reboot of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, planned for launch on August 28th.
2. A fresh Silent Hill game, which is set to move the survival-horror genre from a quiet American town to rural Japan when it debuts in September.

Additionally, Konami might keep its current pace and unveil more surprises if they choose to do so.

For years now, enthusiasts of Castlevania have eagerly awaited a new game in the series, with no home console release since Lords of Shadow 2 back in 2014. Meanwhile, the launch date for Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 has been hard to pin down, just like Solid Snake himself. Similarly, fans have been vocal about their desire for Konami to bring back Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots on contemporary gaming platforms.

Konami’s presentation follows a hectic week filled with gaming announcements. Besides Summer Game Fest, both Xbox and PlayStation hosted exclusive conferences, while events such as Future Games Show, Day of the Devs, and Wholesome Direct also took place, showcasing numerous upcoming titles from various publishers.
