Koei Tecmo has outlined the distinctions between the initial launch of “Wild Hearts” and the forthcoming version for the Nintendo Switch 2, discussing aspects such as features, content, user accounts, and other details.
In the initial announcement, Koei Tecmo has confirmed that the upcoming version of Wild Hearts, known as Wild Hearts S, will offer four-player co-op instead of the current three-player co-op available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Additionally, today’s comparison post unveils that the Karakuri Edition content will be accessible right from the start in Wild Hearts S. However, it’s important to note that Wild Hearts S won’t be crossplay compatible with existing versions of the game. It does not require an EA Account for play, but online multiplayer on Nintendo Switch requires a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. On the bright side, local multiplayer can be enjoyed without a subscription.
1) Koei Tecmo has confirmed that this game won’t support mouse controls and lacks built-in voice or text chat, but you can utilize the Game Chat feature on Nintendo Switch 2 instead. Moreover, it is available as a digital-only release on the Koei Tecmo America website.
The action-adventure game “Wild Hearts” is now accessible on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and personal computers (via EA, Steam, Epic). On July 25, the game will also be released for the Nintendo Switch 2. For a review of “Wild Hearts” since its PC launch, check out James’ write-up here.
Here’s a breakdown of what sets Wild Hearts S apart from the original Wild Hearts by Koei Tecmo, straight from my gaming perspective:
In Wild Hearts S, I stumbled upon several version differences that make it stand out. For one, there are new features like the enhanced graphics and smoother gameplay that really amp up the adventure! Additionally, I noticed some tweaks to the combat system for a more engaging experience. And let’s not forget about the new quests and characters that have been added to keep things fresh. Overall, Wild Hearts S offers an improved gaming journey compared to the original version.
