The Housemaid and her secrets are about to get exposed with this casting update.
Paul Feig’s movie version of Freida McFadden’s popular novel, The Housemaid, was a big hit, earning almost $400 million worldwide. The R-rated thriller stars Sydney Sweeney as Millie, a woman with a criminal past who takes a job with the wealthy and seemingly flawless Winchester family, led by Nina, played by Amanda Seyfried.
I’m so excited to hear that Kirsten Dunst is joining the cast of the Housemaid’s Secret sequel, alongside Sweeney and Seyfried! And it’s fantastic news that Paul Feig will be back directing – I loved his work on the first one. Plus, Rebecca Sonnenshine, who did such a great job adapting the original novel, is returning to write the screenplay, which gives me even more confidence this sequel will be amazing.
Millie is back in The Housemaid’s Secret, this time working as a housekeeper for a woman she’s forbidden to look at. As she investigates what’s hidden behind a locked door, she uncovers dangerous secrets that are even more troubling than her own.
