In a collaboration with the food company Heinz, Kirby will soon grace “flipped” ketchup bottles for an exciting new look.
Excited chatter surrounds the anticipated Nintendo Switch 2, but let’s shift gears to an unexpected partnership: Heinz and HAL Laboratory have teamed up to roll out exclusive Kirby-themed tomato ketchup bottles! Interestingly enough, this isn’t their first dance together, as Kirby has graced Heinz ketchup bottles before.
In November 2024, Heinz collaborated with Kirby to introduce a ketchup pouch model. This innovative design was inspired by Maxim Tomatoes, a health-restoring item from the Kirby game series.
Skip ahead to June 2025. Once again, they return with a replay, but this time it’s got a twist! The latest promotion now showcases our lovable pink mascot on bottles turned upside down.
Heinz to launch upside-down Kirby tomato ketchup bottles in Japan
In June 2025, you’ll find the freshly released tomato ketchup bottles on store shelves in Japan, but keep in mind that they’ll be in limited supply. Unlike the initial release, this new collaboration features an expanded design line-up with three distinct bottle styles, one of which showcases an additional character.
Star-nosed Mole Carby is back at Hinton’s Ketchup! This time, he appears in a special upside-down bottle ketchup ✨ Three types of Carbies are joining us, along with Wolduri! Starting from June, they will be released gradually 🍅 Everyone, which one do you want?👀 #Hinton’s Ketchup x Carby Collaboration

In one depiction, Kirby is comfortably seated with a juicy burger in hand. In another illustration, he’s enveloped by plentiful tomatoes, which aligns perfectly with our product.
I stumbled upon another cool piece of fan art where Waddle-Dee is depicted! In this illustration, the adorable red-orange creature is shown clutching a tomato right next to Kirby. It’s too cute not to share!
Heinz’s authentic Twitter profile is offering 1,000 unique keychains as well! Similar to their previous Kirby promotional item, these keychains are exclusive to Japanese residents only.

Besides the bottles, it’s worth mentioning another exciting merchandise for fans: a Kirby keychain in the shape of a keystone, embroidered with the Heinz logo.
To acquire this item, you must participate in a unique quiz. If fortune smiles upon you, you’ll be one of the 1,000 winners selected at the end. The quiz is going to take place on social media platforms, so fans should stay alert if they wish to participate and test their luck.
