Square Enix has announced that Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link development has been canceled.
Back in 2022, Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link was first unveiled with plans to release it last year for mobile devices as a GPS-based action RPG. However, following some closed trials across various regions, Square Enix recently announced that they’ve decided to halt development on the game. Their statement also indicated that they are currently focusing their efforts on Kingdom Hearts IV instead.

The development of Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link has been discontinued. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our fans who were looking forward to
We have decided to focus on other projects within the Kingdom Hearts series that can provide a more enjoyable experience for everyone. Our dedicated team is working hard to bring you new and exciting content in the future. Thank you very much for your continued support.
We have made the decision to cancel the development of Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link.
We’d like to express our sincere apologies to all those eagerly awaiting the commencement of our services.
Despite our best efforts to create and refine the game, hoping it would be well-received by many gamers, we realized it might prove challenging for us to maintain a service that would consistently meet player satisfaction in the long run. Consequently, we’ve decided to discontinue its development.
It’s a pleasure to extend our gratitude to all those who lent their support and aid during our numerous closed beta testing phases.
We are truly sorry to have to make this announcement.
