Square Enix has announced that Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link development has been canceled.

Back in 2022, Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link was first unveiled with plans to release it last year for mobile devices as a GPS-based action RPG. However, following some closed trials across various regions, Square Enix recently announced that they’ve decided to halt development on the game. Their statement also indicated that they are currently focusing their efforts on Kingdom Hearts IV instead.

We have made the decision to cancel the development of Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link.

We’d like to express our sincere apologies to all those eagerly awaiting the commencement of our services.

Despite our best efforts to create and refine the game, hoping it would be well-received by many gamers, we realized it might prove challenging for us to maintain a service that would consistently meet player satisfaction in the long run. Consequently, we’ve decided to discontinue its development.
